Presenting a brief idea for the film – ‘Pratibha’
The film opens with a wedding scene of a rural girl, Pratibha, and an urban boy, Nilesh. Their attires are a clear window to their native disparity. The next shot comes with a glimpse of hard-working female farmers carrying heavy tools and their struggle. While they are busy farming, all of a sudden, the wedding shehnai is heard from a distance. They swiftly wind up their work and head towards their houses to dress up and attend the wedding.
Next scene - They are married now and the girl with her husband and in-laws was waiting at the railway station for their train, counting the number of luggage. Soon, they decide to move towards their platform and as per a socially approved behavioral pattern, all the male members of the family managed to lift the heavy luggage whereas the females carried the light ones. There was a heavy load of luggage on Pratibha’s husband, Nilesh. All of a sudden, he just happened to drop a heavy suitcase. He turned around, took a deep breath, and waited for a while. Pratibha reached there and lifted the suitcase with a smile.
Nilesh says, “Aree ye to bohot bhari hai.”
Pratibha says, “Mei Kisan hu, boj utha sakti hu”, and Nilesh gets thoughtful.
